TaoMonitorGlobalization

Default routine for monitoring progress of TaoSolve() with extra detail on the globalization method.

PetscErrorCode TaoMonitorGlobalization(Tao tao, PetscViewerAndFormat *vf)

Collective

Input Parameters

• tao - the Tao context

• vf - PetscViewerAndFormat context

Options Database Keys

• -tao_monitor_globalization [ascii][:filename] - monitor globalization information at each iteration, only ASCII viewers are supported

• -tao_monitor_globalization_interval interval - only monitor globalization information every interval iterations, and the last iteration

Note

This monitor prints the function value and gradient norm at each iteration, as well as the step size and trust radius. Note that the step size and trust radius may be the same for some algorithms.
