PCAIRSetFullSmoothingUpAndDown

Sets whether PCAIR smooths all points on the up and down sweeps, instead of the default down F and C smoothing

Input Parameters

• pc - the PCAIR preconditioner context

• input_bool - PETSC_TRUE to smooth all points on both the up and down sweeps

Options Database Key

• -pc_air_full_smoothing_up_and_down (true|false) - smooth all points up and down, instead of the default down F and C smoothing; defaults to false

Note

By default PCAIR only smooths on the way down the hierarchy (the reduction-multigrid F and C smooths); enabling this smooths all points on both the up and down sweeps, which resembles a standard multigrid cycle and can be more robust for some problems at a higher cost per cycle.
